GPS Fleet Tracking
GPS fleet tracking is made possible with a combination of
hardware, a wireless data network, web servers, and specialized
software. The process begins with GPS hardware communicating
with satellites to determine location and record vehicle functions.
Data is then transmitted by wireless network to a web server
where the information is stored. Finally, users can access
the data with software and view real-time tracking data or
detailed reports of previous activities.
Tracking fleets of all sizes is made effortless and streamlined
with StreetEagle. If your fleet consists of 500 vehicles,
maps displayed don't have to be cluttered with every vehicle,
all their individual details, and surrounding landmarks. You
can easily customize details displayed to suit your needs.
If tracking a certain vehicle, click on its name to display
only that vehicle on the map. Then, choose what information
you want displayed. If a route must be determined, enter an
address and StreetEagle will instantly find the quickest path
to take.
Such routing capabilities can reduce your company's fuel
expenses from the first day. But how do you provide your drivers
with this information? StreetEagle can work in conjunction
with the software you're currently using. If this includes
a dispatching program, StreetEagle can be incorporated without
complicating matters like so many other GPS tracking services
would.
StreetEagle's open architecture also provides further customization
to meet our clients' specific requirements. If one of our
plans providing updated information every two, five, or 10
minutes isn't frequent enough, we can set the update rate
to mere seconds if it's needed. But to configure our products
and services to meet your needs, we will need additional information.
