GPS Tracking
Automatic vehicle location services are made possible thanks
to GPS technology. A receiver located in a vehicle communicates
with GPS satellites to determine its location. This information
is then passed on to a computer at the receiving end. Typically,
this information is transmitted via a wireless network. In
many cases, this network is the same one that your cell phone
uses.
Here at InSight USA, the GPS mapping hardware we provide
utilizes the CDMA 1XRTT, GPRS, GSM, IDEN, and InmarsatC networks.
Which network is right for your application depends on a number
of factors, such as where you're located and your current
cell phone provider. If you're uncertain of which network
you're on, feel free to contact
us for help determining the ideal hardware option
for your company.
However, hardware is only half of the equation. Without a
software side, the data transmitted by the GPS tracking hardware
would be useless. This is where StreetEagle comes in. Our
unique software presents to you all of the data sent by the
tracking unit. It's from this program that you can connect
to our servers to view your in-depth reports, such as vehicle
history, gas consumed, where the vehicle was idling when it
should have been turned off, and much more.
If your company has its own servers, we also offer an Enterprise
solution that enables you to store and archive your own database
of information. This isn't an option for smaller companies
without expensive computer systems, so we also offer monthly
subscription plans as well. Furthermore, our hardware is available
for purchase or for lease, making our products and services
viable for companies both large and small.
